The Doodle Jump-style game for TikTok Live

That jumping game you've seen on TikTok Live — a doodle character bouncing up a notebook page while gifts knock the streamer down or rocket them up — is Scribble Hop: a Doodle Jump-style, hand-drawn vertical climber built for TikTok Live. Every gift is priced in metres of height, in both directions, on ScrollPlay's servers — so a chat's help and sabotage cancel out exactly, and the score on stream is always real. It runs on Windows in the free ScrollPlay launcher.

Bounce up the page — your chat holds the pen

The alien bounces on his own; the streamer only steers, sliding left and right to line up the next pencil-drawn platform, wrapping off one edge of the page and back in on the other. Every metre climbed is a point, every star collected is worth ten more, and there is no death state — miss everything and a paper plane swoops in, catches him, and sets him back on a platform. It's the vertical-jumper formula the classic perfected, redrawn as a live show.

What changes on TikTok Live is who holds the pen. The audience buys the physics: jetpacks that rocket the alien up the page, and a whole rogues' gallery that drags him back down it.

Gifts are metres — up and down

Every gift action in Scribble Hop is priced server-side in metres, and the number a streamer sets is the distance the alien travels. Jetpacks are the way up — they stack, so a spike of them rockets him skyward, smashing straight through platforms. The way down is more colourful: screaming Karens grab on and haul him toward the bottom of the page, a shark leaps out of its bucket for the hardest single shove down, and a garden hose soaks the page so every bounce goes soft. The finisher is the eraser: the pencil flips over and wipes the climb — and with it the score — back to the start line.

Because both directions use the same unit, a +500 rescue and a −500 shove cancel out exactly. That arithmetic is the whole show: the chat splits into saboteurs and saviours, and the height meter everyone is watching is the tug-of-war rope.

Why not just stream Doodle Jump?

You can screen-share any mobile game on a LIVE — but the classic vertical jumpers don't advertise TikTok Live integration, so your viewers are spectators and nothing more. Scribble Hop was built the other way round: the ScrollPlay launcher holds a live connection to your broadcast, the game refuses to start without a verified session, and the server owns the world seed, the metre-and-star tally, the win goal and every gift amount. When the counter crosses the goal — or a shark erases a monster climb at the last second — the number is the server's, and the drama your viewers paid into is real.

Set a win goal, bind gifts to actions from the launcher (any TikTok gift can trigger any action, and likes and follows work too), and add Studio Mode overlays so the goal meter and gift legend sit on the stream.

Frequently asked questions

What is the jumping game people play on TikTok Live called?

The doodle-styled one where gifts knock the streamer down the page or rocket them up is Scribble Hop, ScrollPlay's Doodle Jump-style climber built for TikTok Live with server-verified scoring.

How do you set up a TikTok Live where gifts knock you down or boost you up?

Install the free ScrollPlay launcher on Windows, install Scribble Hop, connect your TikTok @username, and capture the game window in TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS. Then bind gifts to actions — each gift's metre amount is enforced by the server, so the effect on stream always matches what the viewer paid for.

Can I stream the original Doodle Jump with viewer interaction?

Not interactively — the original doesn't advertise TikTok Live integration, so streaming it is a plain screen share. Scribble Hop is an original game in the same style with the audience wired in: gifts, likes and follows all reach the game live.

What do gifts actually do in Scribble Hop?

Jetpacks rocket the alien up the page and stack for bigger bursts; Karens drag him down; a shark is the hardest single shove; a hose softens every bounce; and the eraser wipes the climb and its score back to the start. Every amount is metres, server-owned, in both directions.

Do viewers need to download anything to play along with Scribble Hop?

No — viewers interact entirely through TikTok gifts, likes and follows on your LIVE. Only the streamer runs the ScrollPlay launcher.

Is Scribble Hop an official Doodle Jump game?

No. Doodle Jump is Lima Sky's trademark and ScrollPlay has no affiliation with them — Scribble Hop is an original hand-drawn climber in the genre Doodle Jump made famous, built for live streaming.

Do streamers earn from it?

Gifts on your LIVE convert to diamonds as they always do on TikTok — the game just gives every gift a visible, physical effect worth paying for. The diamond calculator shows what a session's gifts are worth.

Doodle Jump is a trademark of Lima Sky. ScrollPlay and Scribble Hop are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Lima Sky — Scribble Hop is an original ScrollPlay game inspired by the genre the classic made famous.
