Red Light Rush
Chat races the host. Stop when the light goes red.

About This Game
Red Light Rush is the classic playground game of red light, green light, played against the streamer. Anyone who types in your TikTok LIVE chat drops onto a long field as a runner wearing their own profile picture, and every like is a step toward the line. At the far end stands the Watcher, a friendly traffic-light robot. While it looks away the light is green and everybody runs. When it spins round the light goes red, and anyone still moving is zapped back toward the start with a cartoon shock and a tumble. Nobody is hurt and nobody is ever removed from the game: a zap is only a setback.
Your own runner is on the field too, wearing a gold star. By default the host runs by itself, so you can keep talking to chat while it races them, and every so often it gets caught on red like everyone else. The host is a setting: switch Host runs by itself off to run it yourself with a key or a click and be zapped on red like anyone, or switch Host races off for a chat-only field with no host at all. Races run back to back, the first runner across the line wins, and every race the host wins makes the next field longer and changes the scenery.
Gifts are moves the Watcher can't see, so they are safe on red: a Step, a Sprint, a Rocket or a Jetpack for the sender's own runner, a Banana under the leader, or a Pie in the host's face. A Galaxy charges the Watcher's eye for a Searchlight that will sweep the field back unless someone sends the Blackout before the countdown ends, and every follow gives the new follower a Freeze Shield. Every phase of the race, every runner's metres and every gift amount are worked out on the ScrollPlay game server.

- Rocket — a rocket strapped to your runner carries it a long way forward.
- Leon the Kitten
- Jetpack — a jetpack lifts your runner far over the pack.
Slow down the others

- Confetti
- Pie the Host — a giant pie flies in from the sender's runner and splats the host.
The whole field
- Galaxy
- Searchlight — the Watcher's eye charges, then a beam sweeps the field and everyone but the sender tumbles back, unless the Blackout arrives in time.
- Hand Heart
- Blackout — sent during the Searchlight's countdown, the lights cut and nothing is lost.
These are the default bindings. A gift with no action bound to it only joins its sender to the field. Gifts carry a runner up to the last stretch before the line, which is always run on foot, and any extra distance is banked as a head start for the next race. Every distance is owned by the ScrollPlay server. Streamers can rebind any gift in Studio Mode, and in the game's settings set the field length, the difficulty, the stream-delay grace, where a zap sends you back, the rescue window and whether the host races or runs by itself.
Gameplay: red light, green light with your whole chat
Red Light Rush turns your comments and likes into a race. Every viewer who types lands on the field as their own runner, every like is a stride, and a traffic-light robot decides when everybody must freeze. Stop on red and you keep your place; keep tapping and you tumble back toward the start. The first runner across the line wins the race, and the HOST vs CHAT score is kept for the whole session, with a board for the best runners.
Gifts add a second layer without breaking the rule: the Watcher can't see a gift, so a Rocket sent on red is safe, a Banana slows the leader and a Pie hits the host. The Galaxy Searchlight gives the audience a big moment, and the Blackout gives them a way to save the field.
Built for TikTok Live streamers
Red Light Rush runs on its own by default, so you can leave it racing while you talk to chat. Viewers see your stream a few seconds late, so the grace after each red is a setting you can match to your real delay, and it can widen by itself when many runners get caught. Studio Mode shows every gift action with its default gift, lets you rebind them and test-fire them before you go live, and the same overlay widgets and scenes work as in every other ScrollPlay game.
Red Light Rush — frequently asked questions
Is Red Light Rush free, or do I need a Play Pass?
Red Light Rush is a Play Pass game, so it needs an active subscription on your ScrollPlay account. The launcher itself is a free Windows download, and your viewers are never charged anything: typing to join and liking are free, and gifts are only what they choose to send.
How do viewers join and move?
They type anything in your TikTok LIVE chat to join as a runner wearing their own face, and every like is a step. They have to stop when the light goes red: a like that arrives while the light is red, past the stream-delay grace, zaps that runner back.
What about the delay on my stream?
Viewers see your stream a few seconds behind, so a red only counts after a grace you set in the game's settings, and the grace can widen by itself when a lot of runners get caught. Likes that land inside the grace never zap.
Do I have to run the host myself?
No. By default the host runs by itself and races your chat. Switch Host runs by itself off to run it yourself with a key or a click, and be zapped on red like anyone. Switch Host races off for a chat-only field with no host at all.
What are the Searchlight and the Blackout?
A Galaxy gift books a Searchlight that will sweep the field back when its countdown ends. During the countdown a Blackout card names the gift that stops it: send it in time and the lights cut and nobody loses anything. The rescue window is a setting, so you can match it to your stream delay.
Can I play Red Light Rush in the browser?
Yes. Red Light Rush plays in your browser on the ScrollPlay web launcher with the same account, and in the free ScrollPlay launcher for Windows.
