About This Game
Lava Leap is a hands-free climbing game for TikTok LIVE. A marshmallow hops, all by himself, up a giant staircase of hexagonal basalt columns rising out of a lava lake, and the world changes as he climbs: the caldera wall, the crater rim, the ash cloud, sky boulders and finally the stars. The big number on stream is BLOCKS, how high he stands, and it is the score. Leave Autoplay on and talk to chat, or tap to hop him up a block faster.

Most gifts are priced in blocks, both ways, so a help and a hurt of the same size cancel out exactly. A Finger Heart sends a Fire Bird wearing the gifter's face that flies him up 50 blocks, and a Rose's Steam Puff pops him up one, while a TikTok's Pebble, a Gold Boxing Gloves' Ember Spit, a Doughnut's Lava Boulder, Confetti's Geyser and a Money Gun's Block Sink knock him back 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 blocks. There is no floor: below the shore the blocks go down into the magma caves, and the number goes negative. The biggest gifts move wins, not blocks: a Leon the Kitten is an instant +1 win as the Fire Bird carries him up a whole gate step, and Fireworks is an instant −1 win as a Lava Titan wearing the sender's face swats him down one. The next gate moves with him, so the climb to it stays the same. Out of the box, every 20 likes hop him up a block and every new follower bonks him back one.
Every 500 blocks stands a crater gate. Near it the lava surges up the blocks behind him, and if it catches him he is toasted and loses 10 blocks. Reach the gate and he has to hold on through a 10-second countdown while steam vents burst under him: hold it and that's a win, and the next gate rises one step higher while he keeps climbing. When someone sends a Galaxy, the volcano erupts and blows him back to the last gate he passed, and chat has 30 seconds to send Phoenix Catch (a Hand Heart by default) and bring back exactly what it took. Every hop, hazard, gate and gift amount is worked out on the ScrollPlay game server.

These are the default bindings; a gift with no action bound to it does nothing. Every amount is owned by the ScrollPlay server: a block gift moves him by exactly that many blocks, down into the magma caves below the shore if it comes to that, and a win gift moves one win and one whole gate step. Streamers can rebind any gift, change the amounts or create custom actions in Studio Mode.
Gameplay: a volcano climb your chat controls
Lava Leap is built around one question a viewer stays for even when nobody is gifting: will the lava catch him? Far from a gate he hops fast, so knocked-off blocks come back in seconds; in the last 30 blocks before a gate the columns get taller and hotter, he slows down, cracked blocks crumble under him and the lava surges up behind him. Even with no gifts at all he sometimes fails a gate, so every gate is worth watching.
A failure is never game over. Toasted by the lava, knocked off a gate or blown down by an eruption, he bounces back up and keeps climbing, and a won gate rolls straight on to the next one. Gifts land on top of all of it, so a Fire Bird can lift him clear of the surge and a Block Sink can drop him off a gate in the middle of a hold.
Built for TikTok Live streamers
Lava Leap needs no hands: Autoplay is on by default, and pressing SPACE, clicking or tapping the game only hops him faster. Pick the blocks between gates (250, 500, 1,000, 2,500 or your own number), a difficulty (Chill, Normal or Wild), the Win timer and the Rescue window, and switch on "Disasters wipe your wins" if you want an eruption to take every win too. Studio Mode shows every gift action with its default gift, lets you rebind them and test-fire them before you go live, and the same overlay widgets and scenes work as in every other ScrollPlay game.

Is Lava Leap free, or do I need a Play Pass?
Lava Leap is a Play Pass game, so it needs an active subscription on your ScrollPlay account. The launcher itself is a free Windows download, and your viewers are never charged anything: likes and follows are free, and gifts are only what they choose to send.
Do I have to play it myself?
No. Autoplay is on by default and he climbs the blocks by himself, so you can talk to chat the whole stream. Press SPACE, click or tap the game whenever you want to hop him one block faster.
What happens at a gate?
Every gate (every 500 blocks by default) opens a countdown the moment he lands on it, 10 seconds by default and adjustable from 3 to 60. Steam vents burst under him while it runs; if he drops below the gate the hold breaks and he climbs back to try again. Hold it to the end and that's a win: the next gate rises one step higher and he keeps climbing from where he stands.
How does an Eruption work?
A Galaxy erupts the volcano and blows him back to the last gate he passed, and a 30-second rescue window opens (you can set it from 5 to 120 seconds). If anyone sends Phoenix Catch in time, a golden phoenix catches him and brings back exactly what the eruption took. Your wins are kept unless you switch on "Disasters wipe your wins", which is off by default; with it on, Phoenix Catch brings the wins back too.
