About This Game
House in a Pickle is a hammer-on-the-beat building game for TikTok LIVE, from the "builds a house inside a pickle" trend. Mattoncino, a tiny brick builder, breaks into Cetriolo, a giant worried pickle, and builds a house inside him. You tap on the beat to swing the hammer, and each level goes up stage by stage: studs, foil, insulation, drywall, floorboards, furniture and, last of all, a portrait of the pickle himself. The big number on stream is BRICKS, and it is the score. Auto-hammer stays off until you switch it on: play it yourself, or let it swing while you talk to chat.

A house has 5 levels by default, and you choose how many. Finish a level and the room seals up behind a lit window while the next storey slides in. Finish the top level and keep it finished through the HOUSEWARMING countdown, and that is a win: the party starts, the pickle walks off, a new sealed one walks in, and Mattoncino has to hammer through the skin from a ladder and break in all over again.
Gifts are priced in BRICKS both ways, so a help and a hurt sized the same cancel out exactly. A Finger Heart flies in a delivery drone with 30 bricks under the gifter's face, while the pickle fights back: hiccups, forks, glasses of water, hot sauce and the ANTI-TENANT vacuum knock bricks out. Out of the box, every 20 likes nail on a brick and every new follower sends a helper with three. A Galaxy calls THE DOCTOR: an X-ray finds the builder and a countdown starts, and one HIDE! gift in time hides him behind a curtain, otherwise the tweezers strip the level back to bare walls. These are the default bindings; a gift with no action bound to it does nothing. Every amount, goal and outcome is owned by the ScrollPlay server. A help and a hurt sized the same cancel exactly, and the score has no floor: knocked far enough, the builder is EVICTED and back on the ladder in red until his hammer gets him in again. Streamers can rebind any gift in Studio Mode.
Gameplay: a house inside a pickle, one hammer beat at a time
House in a Pickle gives the streamer a job and the audience an opinion. Each beat a ring closes on the next nail and you tap to swing; a hit puts the next piece in place, from raw cucumber walls to studs, crinkled foil, insulation, drywall, floorboards and furniture, until the portrait of the pickle goes up. Faint blueprints show what is left to build and the empty frame on the back wall shows what is coming. A missed swing costs nothing until the final stretch: in the last 10 bricks of the top level every brick takes 3 hits, and a miss is a POKE from the pickle that knocks 2 bricks out. Reach the goal and the HOUSEWARMING countdown starts, and a hurt that knocks the house back under the goal breaks it.
Every gift is on screen within a second with the sender's face or name on it, and Cetriolo's worried face reacts to all of it. Knocked far enough, Mattoncino is EVICTED: back on the ladder at a taped-up hole with the number in red, though his hammer climbs back fast. Every new pickle starts sealed too: the first bricks of a house are the break-in, hammered through the skin from the ladder, and a Delivery can help with them just as a knock can undo them.
Built for TikTok Live streamers
You decide how big the job is: 3, 5, 8 or 12 levels per house, 25 to 250 bricks per level, and a chill, normal or wild beat. Auto-hammer swings for you when you want to turn to chat, and it can still slip in the final stretch. The settings also hold the win timer, the Doctor timer, a Doctor wipes wins switch that is off by default, the wins counter and its goal. Studio Mode shows every gift action with its default gift, lets you rebind them and test-fire them before you go live, and the same overlay widgets and scenes work as in every other ScrollPlay game.

House in a Pickle is a Play Pass game, so it needs an active subscription on your ScrollPlay account. The launcher itself is a free Windows download, and your viewers are never charged anything: likes and follows are free, and gifts are only what they choose to send.
Do I have to hammer the whole stream?
No. Auto-hammer is off by default so you can play it yourself on the beat, and its switch in the settings hands the hammer over while you talk to chat. A tap takes the hammer back. Outside the final stretch a missed or skipped beat costs nothing.
How do my viewers play?
With gifts, likes and follows. Gifts fly in bricks or knock them out, every 20 likes nail on a brick and every new follower sends a helper. Typing in chat does not move the game.
What counts as a win?
Finishing the top level of the house and keeping it finished through the HOUSEWARMING countdown (5 seconds by default). A house has 5 levels by default, and you can pick 3, 8 or 12 instead. After the party the pickle walks off, a new sealed one walks in and Mattoncino breaks in all over again, and your wins carry on.
How does THE DOCTOR work?
A Galaxy brings in a giant gloved hand with an X-ray, the hammer stops and chat gets 15 seconds (3 to 60 in the settings) to send HIDE! (a Hand Heart by default). In time, the builder hides behind a curtain and nothing is lost. Otherwise the tweezers strip the level he is on back to bare walls, and on the first level that puts him back outside. The Doctor never gives bricks, and your wins are safe unless you switch on Doctor wipes wins.
